Culture in the Lands of the Bible ****************************************************************************************** * ****************************************************************************************** *========================================================================================= * *========================================================================================= ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Annotation ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The course [ URL "https://is.cuni.cz/studium/eng/predmety/index.php? id=000dbf0d3474317b82bd6f75a82b2526&tid=&do=predmet&kod=KVAR134"] The introductory survey geographical location of the ancient cultures of the Middle East, languages, scripts, cult of sacred literature. The highlighted issue is the phenomenon of strict monotheism as obse canonical texts of the Old Testament and the Quran. These will be seen in the stream of ap “heretical” substrate, particularly documented in the stories of essential Biblical figure Solomon, Joseph, John the Baptist, or Jesus Christ himself.
