As part of a twenty-year collaboration with Loyola University in Baltimore, our faculty once again hosted intensive ethics instruction this July in the form of the summer school "Ethics: Contemporary Moral Issues." This year, we welcomed a total of nine students from the USA, who, within the course, had the opportunity to become acquainted with the basic ethical concepts of selected authors and the key characteristics of Christian morality. In addition to the theoretical foundation, they also explored some key issues of applied ethics and the principles of ethical argumentation.

We are announcing a call for papers for an international conference for doctoral students on the topic of "Truth and Nature in History, Art, and Thought." The conference is intended for students in doctoral programs, primarily in the humanities (theology, philosophy, art history, history, etc.). The conference focuses on a deeper reflection on the theme of truth and nature in the context of the history of thought and cultural production, including challenges related to relativism, post-truth, conspiracy theories, and the like. Abstracts may be submitted until July 31, 2025.

French Embassy is organizing along with the French Tech Prague and 42 Prague on December 16th and 17th a Hackathon on artificial intelligence, for young women. The idea of the event is to encourage young women, experimented or not, whether or not they know how to code, to work in teams on projects using AI. Registration is open until November 20.
